Six times the sides were level but it was Wicklow's burst near the end which proved decisive.

Wicklow, who led 0-5 to 0-4 at the break, had two good goal chances in the opening half, one from a penalty after their full-forward Alan Ellis was brought down. But the Offaly goalkeeper Brian Fenlon saved from Anthony Nolan's spot kick.
