What the papers say

The Fermanagh Herald pulled out all the stops in its preview of yesterday's game at Clones

The Fermanagh Herald pulled out all the stops in its preview of yesterday's game at Clones. Their five-page special on the game took all manner of angles, but the nicest touch had to be the Kieran Donnelly piece that featured a picture of now 23-year-old as a five-year-old mascot for Fermanagh at the Ulster final of '82 against Armagh. Written up as a Roy of the Rovers tale - from boy mascot to Ulster final participant - the picture will no doubt be a source of much amusement to his team-mates. In an attempt to maximise that embarrassment, we reprint said picture here.
