Galway GC is set to embark on an ambitious clubhouse development costing £1.6 million. The bulldozers will move in next month to knock much of the existing building which dates back to 1925 and pave the way for a modern, 14,000 square foot two-storey clubhouse. The new building will have a snooker room, spike bar, full bar and restaurant and, on a clear day, views of Galway Bay, the Aran Islands and the Burren. Much of the groundwork was done by Billy Grealish and Pat Canney.
