WARRINGTON crashed at St Helens for the second time in four days yesterday as the English Centenary Championship draws to a close. For Warrington, seemingly, the end cannot come quickly enough.

Clive Griffiths suffered a frustrating start to his stint as caretaker-coach having taken over after Brian Johnson quit on Thursday after their 80-0 drubbing at the hands of the same opponents in the Regal Trophy.

Yesterday's match finished with Warrington slumping 54-14 to St Helens but to compound their woes they had two men sent off and two more sin-binned.
