Warrenpoint qualified for the Bulmers All-Ireland Junior Cup finals when Brian McKee holed a six-footer for a match-winning birdie on the second tie hole at Portadown. They defeated Banbridge 3 1/2-1 1/2 , to set up a rematch against Munster and All-Ireland champions Douglas in next month's semi-final at Lahinch. Warrenpoint lost to Douglas in last year's national final at Royal Portrush. From a double Ulster final bill at Portadown, history was secured when a 10-man team from the relatively new Roe Park golf complex at Limavady won the provincial final of the Pierce Purcell Shield foursomes, beating Ballybofey 3-2. Registered with the Golfing Union of Ireland in 1993, Roe Park will represent Ulster for a first time in All-Ireland finals. Roe Park secured the club's first Ulster title when the unbeaten Philip McKeever and Alan Rankin made a match-winning par five at the 17th, for a 4 and 2 victory.
