Dr McKenna Cup SF/Tyrone 3-5 Down 1-7:Tyrone kept their Dr McKenna Cup hopes alive with victory over Down at Omagh last night.

Enda McCarron, Tommy McGuigan and Enda McGinley landed the Tyrone goals, but they struggled to put their opponents away.

A Conor Gribben goal had given Ross Carr's Down side hope in the first half but as the game progressed they were unable to break down a hard-working Tyrone defence in which Dermot Carlin and Cathal McCarron impressed.

Paddy Bradley scored 1-5 as Derry beat St Mary's 1-15 to 2-8 in Ballinderry last night.
