Full forward Enda McGinley grabbed the crucial equalising point a minute from the end of a thrilling tie to level the scores (Tyrone 2-10, Down 1-13) at Omagh yesterday just when it seemed Ulster minor champions Tyrone were about to relinquish their title to Down.

Down's dominance in the opening 20 minutes saw them race into a seven-points lead, but Tyrone hit back almost immediately and by half-time they had drawn level.
