SWIMMING:Limerick twins Fiona and Éimear Doyle have qualified to represent Ireland at the European junior championships in Antwerp in July.

At the national long-course championships in Dublin at the weekend Fiona broke the Irish junior record when taking gold in the 50-metre freestyle. She also won three silvers medals in the breaststroke events. Éimear won two bronze.

The twins are members of the Limerick High Performance Centre, another member of which, Gráinne Murphy, broke two junior records and qualified for the European Youth Olympic Festival in Belgrade.
