WILLIE CARSON has paid tribute to 1980 Derby winner Henbit, who was destroyed on Wednesday after sustaining muscle injuries covering a mare.
The Scot, who announced his retirement from the saddle earlier in the year, rode the bay to beat Master Willie by three quarters of a length for the second of his four Derby victories.
