Michael Kinane will miss the ride on Second Empire in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes after receiving a two-day ban from the Fairyhouse stewards yesterday.

Kinane was banned for careless riding on Hamasah, the easy winner of the Mullinam Handicap, who was found to have caused interference inside the final furlong and a half. The stewards allowed the filly keep the race because she had not improved her final placing but banned Kinane.

Kinane is suspended on the 25th and 26th of this month, which means he will miss the Friday of Listowel and the first day of the festival of British racing at Ascot.
