Women's Football: Carnacon moved a step closer to redemption following last year's narrow loss in the VHI All-Ireland football club final with a resounding 3-13 to 0-3 victory over Ballyboden St Enda's in Saturday's semi-final in Clogher.

Once again Cora Staunton was the architect of the win, registering 2-9 of her side's final total with Joyce O'Hara scoring the other goal.

Inch Rovers will provide the opposition in this year's final. Last season's intermediate champions have built on the momentum of that successful campaign and accounted for the challenge of Errigal Ciarán on a 2-10 to 1-5 scoreline in Killeagh yesterday.

Claire Keohane's goal sent Inch on their way and she added two points.

Jessica O'Shea struck for another goal after the resumption and, with Amy O'Shea nailing three points, Noel O'Connor's team were perfectly placed to survive the Tyrone side's late flourish.
