Drawn with second-ranked Switzerland, as well as the Germans and Italians in the group stages, the team, which comprises of Aisling Blake, Brian O'Horn and Neal Pollack will need to win two of their three matches if they are to make it into the last eight.

. Ireland's Derek Ryan yesterday reached the quarter-finals of the Hungarian Open when he overcame England's Jason Nicolle 15-13, 8-15, 17-16, 15-12. He now meets another Englishmen in the last eight today, Stephen Meads, who is ranked 21st in the world.
