SOUTH AFRICAN number eight Pierre Spies has pulled out from his team’s European tour after breaking a finger at the weekend.

Natal Sharks flanker Jean Deysel has been called up as a replacement.

Ryan Kankowski is now likely to play at eight for the world champions against France on November 13th. They also play Italy on November 21st and Ireland on November 28th.

Spies has had a top-class season for the Springboks, appearing in all nine Tests, proving a destructive ball-carrier and a potent lineout force.
