Sovereign Page cheers Hanbury

BEN HANBURY ensured peace would continue on the home front when saddling Sovereign Page to score at Yarmouth yesterday. Sovereign Page was gaining his second success in the colours of Hanbury's wife "Chunky" when landing the Tote Bookmakers Handicap under Jon Stack.

Hanbury saddling his 17th success of the season said. "I am ahead of where I was at this stage last year. I am aiming for 40 winners but it's not that easy, you know."

Hanbury outlined plans for his leading horses. Ramooz, runner up in last week's Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot is more likely to tackle the Group Three Van Geest Criterion Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday, rather than journey to the Curragh for the Group Two Seaworld International the same day.

Hagwah, edged out by Donna Viola in a Listed race at Epsom on Derby eve, does come over to this country for Saturday's Pretty Polly Stakes.

The Newmarket trainer's Norfolk Stakes winner Tipsy Creek reappears in the Prix Robert Papin at Maisons Laffitte on July 27th.
