LOI review:Derry City and Bohemians closed the gap on Shamrock Rovers at the top of the Airtricity League of Ireland Premier Division to two points this evening.

Both second and third enjoyed 2-0 wins as Rovers slipped up at home to Bray Wanderers, falling foul of a sixth minute Danny O’Connor goal.

The defeat means Sligo Rovers can join them at the top of the table with a home win over St Patrick’s Athletic tomorrow.

At the Brandywell, the Candystripes had first half goals from Gareth McGlynn and Eamonn Zayed to thank for victory over Dundalk.

Owen Heary struck for Bohs against UCD on the stroke of halftime and Anthony Flood doubled their lead with 10 minutes to go.

Drogheda United failed to pull themselves off the foot of the table with a 1-1 draw with Galway United at Hunky Dorys Park.
