Everton and Liverpool have been charged by the English FA with failing to control their players following last week's reserve derby.

The charges arise from a melee involving players from both sides after Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek was dismissed for violent conduct following his reaction to a challenge from Everton's Victor Anichebe.

Dudek has also been charged with improper conduct after failing to leave the pitch promptly and "confronting" the referee during the Premier League North Reserves fixture on October 10th.

Everton club secretary David Harrison told the club's official website, www.evertonfc.com: "We have been charged with a breach of FA rule E20, which is failure to control our players."

Both clubs and 33-year-old Dudek have until November 1st to respond to the FA
charges.
