Liverpool 1 Arsenal 3: Arsenal sent holders Liverpool tumbling out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle, with Tomas Rosicky scoring twice in the Gunners' victory at Anfield.

The Czech midfielder scored a superb opener in the 37th minute, taking control of Alexander Hleb's pass before firing high beyond Jerzy Dudek in the Liverpool goal.

Rosicky scored again seconds before half-time, beating Dudek from 20 yards to put Arsenal firmly in control.

Dutch striker Dirk Kuyt pulled one back, heading home for the hosts 20 minutes from time, but fit-again Arsenal captain Thierry Henry ended any hopes of a comeback in the 84th minute.

The Frenchman took advantage of some slack defending on the left flank to win possession before surging at the Liverpool back four and scoring with a low drive.
