Soccer:Manchester United's on-loan winger Bebe has torn his anterior cruciate ligament, while playing for the Portugal Under 21 team against their Slovakian counterparts. The news was confirmed by Turkish club Besiktas with who the 21 year old player is on a season-long loan.

Besiktas confirmed that they had contacted United to discuss where the operation should take place. A spokesperson admitted: “A scan has shown an anterior cruciate ligament tear to his left knee and he will be unable to play for six months. Surgery is required and we have contacted Manchester United and there will be a joint decision about where the operation will be done.”
