Charlton look set to start their bid for an immediate return to the Premier League without two internationals after selling Dennis Rommedahl and agreeing a fee with Middlesbrough for Luke Young.

Rommedahl has signed for Dutch giants Ajax for £680,000, while Boro have negotiated a price of £2.5million for 28-year-old Young.

The 28-year-old defender has yet to have a medical at the Riverside and must still agree personal terms but he looks set to follow the Denmark winger out of The Valley after more than 200 matches.
