Soccer:European champions Barcelona continued to top Group H after beating Viktoria Plzen 2-0 at the Nou Camp. Ahead on goal difference from AC Milan, the Spanish club earned their win with goals from Andrew Iniesta and David Villa.

Milan kept up their pursuit with a 2-0 win over Bate Borisov, their goals coming from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kevin Prince Boateng. Elsewhere in European action bottom side Olympiacos beat Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in Arsenal’s group with goals from Jose Holebas, Rafik Djebbour and Francois Modesto.

In Chelsea’s group Bayer Leverkuson came from a goal behind to beat Spanish side Valencia 2-1 at home. The visitors took the lead through Olivera Jonas but Leverkusen responded through Andre Scurrie and Sidney Sam. In Group G Shaktar Donetsk drew 2-2 with Zenit St Petersburg while Apoel Nicosia managed a very creditable 1-1 draw away to Porto.
