Stonemason John Wilson has been on the telephone to the Guinness Book of Records. Starting with headstones, Wilson has now moved on to making snooker tables out of marble.

Having sold several to the rich and famous, including the Sultan of Brunei, he is now awaiting recognition from the book that he has constructed the heaviest, and at £270,000, the most expensive table ever. Offers should come only from people with floors that can take a three-ton weight.
