Shelbourne officials will meet "over the next 48 hours" to consider their course of action after Monday's arbitration annoucement, the club chief executive Ollie Byrne said yesterday.

On Monday night the club criticised the decision of Liam Reidy SC to return all of the points deducted from St Patrick's Athletic as a result of the "Paul Marney affair" and questioned the legitimacy of the process.

Byrne said yesterday that the decision would have "very serious ramifications", but declined to speculate on how the club might react until a board meeting takes place.
