THE Shelbourne board of directors have decided to reject the recommendation of the FAI's tribunal which imposed a five week suspension on Pascal Vaudequin instead of the original eight game ban.

The club's chairman, Finbarr Flood, cited the ongoing High Court case taken by the Bohemians player James Coll on similar grounds. If the FAI insist that the arbitration's recommendation is upheld, then it is likely that the club will also resort to the courts.

. Shelbourne take on Sheffield Wednesday in a friendly at Tolka Park tonight (7.45). In addition to former players Vinny Arkins, Gary Haylock, Martin Russell and Bobby Browne, Shelbourne hope to have some players from Shamrock Rovers. A £5 ticket for the game will admit one adult and two children.
