DUBLIN'S Jack Sheedy, who has just completed a 12 months lay off because of a cruciate ligament operation, was sent off when playing for his club, Lucan Sarsfields, in the Dublin senior football league game against Naomh Barrog yesterday.

He was dismissed by referee John Rutherford along with Barrog player David Lyons. Sheedy's alleged offence was retaliation. The duration of his suspension depends on the referee's report which will be discussed at the next meeting of the Dublin County Board disciplinary committee.
