Irish international Maurice Collins was disqualified from the men's A final at the Cork Open last night for insulting the referee after a series of disputes over let calls. Collins had been favourite to win the title after the withdrawal of top seed Stevie Richardson, who aggravated an old shin splints injury, but the match was awarded to Sutton's Eoin Ryan, who had just levelled at one set all.
