Geordan Murphy remains a serious doubt for Saturday's Six Nations clash with Wales as he recovers from the Achilles injury picked up over the weekend.

The Leicester full-back, the stand-out performer against Scotland, sat out this morning's training session in UCD. A decision on his availability for the Welsh match is likely to be taken over the next 24 hours with coach Eddie O'Sullivan due to name his side tomorrow afternoon.

O'Sullivan could have Girvan Dempsey back to face Wales after the Leinster man, himself recovering from a hip strain, played a part in today's squad session.
