Georgia booked their place at the 2007 rugby World Cup when an 11-11 draw in Portugal on Saturday gave them a 28-14 aggregate win.

The team, who made their debut in the 2003 tournament, will play in Pool D and will face hosts France, Ireland, Argentina and Namibia.

Georgia is due to face Ireland in Bordeaux on September 15th 2007.

Portugal will play Morocco over two legs for the right to take on Uruguay for the other repechage qualifying place.

Japan secured their qualification by beating South Korea on Saturday and now all but two of the 20 teams for the tournament, which starts on September 7th, are known.
