ENGLISH Premiership side Aston Villa have been approached by the Welsh Rugby Football Union about the possibility of staging three internationals at Villa Park during the 1997-98 season.

Villa have been asked if they would be willing to hold two Five Nations matches plus a friendly international while the national stadium in Cardiff is being extensively refurbished.

The matches in question would be Wales v New Zealand in November 1997 plus the Five Nations clashes with Scotland and France.

. Tim Cahill, the PBC Cork open side flanker, will lead the Ireland Schools in their third tour match, against South Australia.
