Itwas with great sadness that we read last week of Ronaldo's decision to start divorce proceedings against Milena Domingues, the woman he married just 18 months ago. It was, though, with great merriment that we read of Milena's mother's reaction to the news. "Ronaldo (right) has disappointed me. I'll only be satisfied when I see him in the shit," said Lucia (who, incidentally, refused to attend the couple's wedding in December 1999 because she "didn't want to sign the certificate of demise of my daughter"). "He goes out with prostitutes and nobody says anything about it," she continued. "They say he is a phenomenon but he is a phenomenon who goes out with whores." As Ronaldo would no doubt put it, "that's mothers-in-law for ya".
