Wexford 1-9 - Dublin 1-5Wexford junior footballers captured the county's fifth Leinster JFC title, and their first since 1992, when beating Dublin in an entertaining final before an attendance of 1,000 at Dr Cullen Park, Carlow last evening.

Wexford, physically strong, good fielders and highly committed, were the dominant side in the opening half against a listless Dublin side which contained 39-year-old veteran Barney Rock at full forward.

Wexford deservedly led 1-5 to 02 and Rock scored a trademark goal in the 44th minute and when Andrew Farrell pointed from play within a minute, Wexford's lead was reduced to a single point. However, Colin Redmond stormed forward to score an inspirational point and Wexford regained control.
