Australia's Mick Doohan continued his record-breaking season when he won a nail-biting Catalunya 500cc Grand Prix in Montmelo, Spain, yesterday.
Doohan's win gave him 12 victories this season, beating Italian Giacomo Agostini's record of 11 wins in the 1968 season.
But Doohan was made to fight all the way as he was hounded by local heroes Carlos Checa and Alex Criville.
