Fabrizio Ravanelli's drop into the Nationwide League hasn't harmed his World Cup chances with Italy. The Middlesbrough striker has been named in the squad to face Georgia in Tblisi on September 10th.

Ravanelli has played two games this season, and scored the winning goal in injury time in the first against Charlton. Middlesbrough have confirmed that the Italian FA have asked for his release.
