A Huddersfield man yesterday netted a cool £113,292.39 after correctly selecting all seven winners at Pontefract.

The middle-aged unnamed man, a regular customer, placed a £1 Super Heinz bet in his local Ladbrokes shop, the total stake of which is £130.80. The seven selections, priced at 13-2, 5-4, 7-1, 9-4, 7-2, 9-2 and evens, all obliged.

Ladbrokes spokesman Ian Wassell said: "The customer had £37,774 riding on the last selection called Promptly in the 5.20 race. The horse lived up to its name by arriving at the winning post just in time."
