The director of the European Championship tournament, Glen Kirton, has promised that tickets identified as being destined for the black market will be frozen and resold to genuine fans.

The police, in conjunction with the English Football Association, have identified two main areas where the system is being abused multiple ticket applications and bulk requests by a variety of organisations.
