HOCKEY:ALAN SOTHERN'S second hat-trick of the tournament helped Pembroke Wanderers to a 4-0 victory at the EuroHockey Club Trophy in Serpentine Avenue yesterday.

The Leinster side had beaten opponents from Belarus, Austria and Ukraine before the final and comprehensive defeated of Russia’s Dinamo Elektrostal, scoring twice in each half.

Meanwhile in France, Pegasus missed out on promotion for Ireland from the EuroHockey Cup Winners Trophy when they lost 1-0 to Russian side Kommunalschik Barnaul in the cross-overs.
