One Man has been completely friendless in Coral's list for the St Stephen's Day King George VI Chase at Kempton with both Rough Quest and Suny Bay the subject of sustained support.

"With every drop of rain opposition to One Man grows. Everyone is backing against the favourite and with the increasing likelihood of testing ground on Boxing Day this trend looks set to continue," said spokesman Simon Clare.

The firm shortened Suny Bay to 5 to 2 from 10 to 3 and Rough Quest from 10 to 1 to 8 to 1, after laying both horses to lose sizeable sums.

They then pushed out Senor El Bettruti to 12 to 1 from 10 to 1 and removed Viking Flagship from the betting.

King George VI Chase Betting - Coral: evens One Man, 5-2 Suny Bay (from 103), 9-2 Barton Bank, 8-1 Rough Quest (from 101), 12-1 Senor El Bettruti (from 10-1) 25-1 bar. William Hill: 4-5 One Man, 11-4 Suny Bay, 4-1 Barton Bank, 10-1 Rough Quest 12-1 (from 161), Senor El Betrutti , 20-1 Challenger Du Luc, Djeddah, See More Business, 50-1 bar

Next year's English Sunday race fixtures should provide more attractive and competitive racing following an initiative from the British Horseracing Board (BHB) and the Horserace Betting Levy Board which sees racing on the Sabbath receive a £400,000 boost.
