John O'Shea opened his training account when saddling Prospectors Gamble to take the NCF Meats Handicap Hurdle at Sligo yesterday after getting the better of second reserve Cheeky Harry by a neck.

Tadhg O'Shea (18) from Mallow recorded his second winner aboard Class Society for his boss, Michael Halford, in the Foleys Bar & Off Licence Handicap and Paul Scallan got off the mark for the year when giving Aine's Choice a fine ride in the NCF Sligo Dairies Handicap.
