UCD powered their way into the last eight of the Sigerson Cup with a convincing win over DCU yesterday, thanks to some clinical finishing from Dublin forward Mick O'Keeffe.

Picking up a short pass from Declan Meehan O'Keeffe shot powerfully past Ronan Ferry in the DCU goal just before the break. Within two minutes Colin Moran and O'Keeffe had added further points as they led 1-7 to 0-2 at half time. O hAilpin with Ian Roberston close at hand, did manage to win plenty of ball but unlike the UCD midfielders attacking options rarely presented themselves.

Two late points - again involving O'Keeffe and Moran - sealed the game.
