A DREARY overcast day at Donnybrook was considerably lightened by this full blooded under 19 Gale Cup final, with Navan lifting the trophy for the fifth time in its 21 year history.

It was only in the second half that the winners finally got a grip on the game and indeed, were fortunate to find themselves 5-3 in front at the break. Kieran McMahon out paced the defence in the 37th minute, after the impressive Stephen Beggy had come into the line.
