BRYAN HAMILTON is calling up the kids after losing three more of his Northern Ireland squad for next Wednesday's group nine World Cup qualifier in Armenia.

Manchester City goalkeeper Tommy Wright, Southampton's Jim Magilton and Sheffield Wednesday full back Ian Nolan have all pulled out with injuries.

With Nigel Worthington unfit and Keith Gillespie suspended, Hamilton finds himself without five senior players.

In come Manchester City's teenage midfielder Jeff Whitley, Ipswich midfielder Danny Sonner, his first call up, and teenage Wigan goalkeeper Roy Carroll,

Hamilton said. This has to be the youngest squad I've ever, taken abroad. To be honest, we are getting down to the bare bones.

However, Danny Sonner deserves a reward. He played impressively in our B team win over Portugal last month and he's looked good in club games.
