WOMEN'S TENNIS: Former French Open champion Anastasia Myskina slumped to a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 defeat by the Polish 17-year-old Agnieszka Radwanska in the first round of the Warsaw Cup yesterday.

Radwanska, winner of the 2005 Wimbledon junior title, troubled Myskina with a strong forehand and often caught her out with beautifully executed drop shots on the clay surface.

Daniela Hantuchova, who has split from British coach Nigel Sears, recovered from a set and 3-5 to beat Israel's Anna Smashnova 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.
