Second half goals from Ciara McGrath and Teresa Hurley gave Muckross a 2-0 victory over ABC of Finland in their opening European Club hockey championships match in Sicily yesterday. The match was delayed for over an hour due to a problem with watering the pitch.

Ukrainian champions Dynamo Sumy (whom Muckross play today) had a surprisingly narrow 1-0 victory over Slavia Praha of the Czech Republic.
