JOHN McHENRY squeezed into the third round of the 1997 South African Masters at a wet and windy San Lameer yesterday after making the half way cut by a single shot.

McHenry, who carded a second round of 78 for 152, said the whole day had been a bit of a struggle.

At the tap of the leaderboard, Brazilian Adilson da Silva managed to hold on to his first round lead.
