TENNISDUBLINER James McGee (21) yesterday pulled off the biggest win of his career, when he defeated the top seed in the second round of the ITF Futures event in Piombino, Italy.

McGee, a tennis scholarship student at South Carolina State University and world-ranked 1,231st, beat Italy's 261st-ranked Francesco Piccari, 6-1, 7-6 (7/3).

In today's quarter-finals, McGee takes on another Italian, number six seed Riccardo Ghedin, who is ranked 414th.
