RUGBY LEINSTER SCHOOLS' CUP: Kilkenny College 22 Wesley College 7KILKENNY COLLEGE produced a fine display of attacking rugby to see off the challenge of Wesley in Naas yesterday and claim their place in the Father Godfrey Cup final.

Two superb individual scores in either half from centre Jack McDowell laid the foundations for the win as Kilkenny controlled large phases of the game with a rumbling pack and devastating pace out wide.

Kilkenny captain Shane Delahunt and Richard Nicholls added to McDowell’s third minute effort to gain a firm grip early in the game. Harry Bowers replied for Wesley with a fine try before half-time but Kilkenny proved too strong as McDowell gave the scoreline a deserved gloss.
