Planet Football received a slightly grouchy e-mail last week that intimated we only ever mentioned players in our "McCarthy's Men Abroad" section who have scored goals the weekend before. "Poppycock," we protested. So, the weekend just gone? Robbie Keane (right) scored for Leeds against Southampton, Graham Kavanagh scored for Stoke against Luton, Lee Carsley scored for Coventry against Leicester, Brian Carey scored for Wrexham against Peterborough, Owen Coyle scored for Airdrie against Falkirk and Gary Doherty scored for Spurs against Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final. Apart from them? Yeah, yeah, a few other Irish lads had decent games but they didn't score and, after all, goals win games guv'nor.
