Den is McBride will lead Ireland's campaign in the Hong Kong Sevens later this month. McBride has been named skipper for next weekend's prestigious competition.
He is one of four players who faced England, joining David Corkery, Niall Hogan and Niall Woods on the flight to Hong Kong. The only uncapped players in the squad are Wanderers' flanker Jonathan Garth and Ballymena wing James Topping.
