Leeds and Republic of Ireland full back Alan Maybury faces a summer of rehabilitation after breaking his leg in Thursday night's 2-0 reserves defeat against Manchester United. The injury rules Maybury out of Mick McCarthy's plans for the Republic of Ireland's upcoming tour to the United States for the US Cup.

Although X-rays confirmed a clean break of the fibula, the early signs are the 21-year-old should be fit to return for pre-season training in July. Leeds United physio Dave Swift said: "The good news is that it's not complicated and I expect it to heal quite quickly. I would expect him to be ready to return for the start of next season."
