Manchester United have been given permission to hold weddings at Old Trafford. Trafford Council approved "United's application to stage" weddings in the ground's Premier Suite.

"We have had a number of inquiries before the licence was granted," a club spokesman said. "But until now we could not accept any bookings. Weddings can take place on any day except match days."
