Millionaire businessman David Makin, one of Manchester City's senior shareholders, plans to oust Francis Lee as chairman at Maine Road. Makin and partner John Wardle helped bail out City just over a year ago by plunging £5million into the club in a share issue.

Now he has set his sights on bringing Lee's reign as chairman to an end.
